Registration for Summer Chess Camp is open to anyone.
The camp will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church in Whitby (150 Victoria Street East) in the downstairs hall (basement).
The parking lot is just east of the church on the same side of Victoria St (north side).
We have a limited attendance of 20 participants on a first-come first-serve basis. The cost is $150/week per participant.
Please look at the
curriculum page for each week and let us know which camp(s) you want to sign up for.
Week 1 for novice players starting July 15 – 19th
Week 2 for intermediate players beginning July 22 – 26th
Camp runs from Monday – Friday, 9 am to noon each week.
There is a non-refundable cancellation policy unless we have a substitute to take your spot.

Instructors Bio.
William Palmer is a chess master (elo rating of 2000+) and a respected figure in the chess community, with a presence in Durham schools and chess clubs. He formerly worked at the “Chess and Math Association” and his dedication to the game is clear, and he shares his knowledge and passion for chess with students eager to learn and improve their skills. Chess coaching is a valuable skill that can inspire and educate players of all levels, and coaches like William play a crucial role in developing the next generation of chess talent.
